Details

This guidance explains the process that accredited ITT providers and lead schools were required to follow to request ITT places for the 2021 to 2022 academic year. It also details the methodology used by DfE to grant permission to ITT providers and lead schools offering the following courses for the 2021 to 2022 academic year:

  • undergraduate courses leading to QTS
  • postgraduate physical education (PE) (fee-funded) courses leading to qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • early years courses leading to early years teacher status (EYTS)

This guidance only applies to the 2021 to 2022 academic year. The process may be modified in future years.
