We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
- Does the Home Office own and/or run its own IT Service Desk function?
- If the answer is no, which organisation is responsible for doing so on behalf of the Home Office and can the Home Office give the name and contact details of the person responsible at that supplier? Also please supply the contact details for the Home Office’s business owner of the Service Desk function if it is outsourced.
We released the following information on 16 December 2010.
- The Home Office ‘IT Service Desk’ function is not owned/run by the Home Office but is managed by our IT supplier.
- Fujitsu Services are responsible for running the Home Office ‘IT Service Desk’ function. The Director of Home Office IT, Denise McDonagh is the business owner of the Service Desk function.
