Details of the application

Isle of Axholme and North Nottinghamshire Water Level Management Board has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Lower Trent and Erewash catchment.

The application is for a licence to transfer water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 2,441 litres per second
  • 8,787 cubic metres an hour
  • 26,362 cubic metres a day
  • 9,622,067 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) SE 83384 05243
  • from abstraction location Southfield Pumping Station.

The water will be used for Transfer between Sources.
