Referrals to the Secretary of State for Health were made by the London Borough of Redbridge, the Outer North East London Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. The proposed changes relate to services provided by Homerton Hospital Hackney, King George Hospital Ilford, Newham Hospital, Queen’s Hospital Romford, The Royal London Hospital Whitechapel and Whipps Cross Hospital.
