The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has announced the expert review of the Second Order Draft of its Methodology Report on Inventories for Short-lived Climate Forcers.

At the IPCC’s Forty-ninth Plenary Session (Kyoto, Japan, 8 to 12 May 2019), the Panel decided that its Task Force on National Greenhouse Gas Inventories (TFI) would produce a Methodology Report on Short-lived Climate Forcers following Appendix A to the Principles Governing IPCC work.
This Methodology Report will provide guidance on measuring anthropogenic emissions from key short-lived climate-forcing substances, including nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and others, which significantly contribute to global and regional air quality and climate change.
