The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Shotley Holdings Limited.

The application is to add a physical and chemical treatment operation to the existing permit. This treatment operation will be to wash soil and aggregates further to existing treatment taking place on site. The operation will not exceed 60,000 tonnes per annum but will not increase the overall annual throughput of the site. The washing plant and associated area will be on an isolated impermeable surface with sealed drainage system not connected to the rest of the site. ####Regulated facility address
