Description of activity
The proposed variation of activities for this permit relate to activity T4 in the granted permit – EPR/QB3054KV. The original application stated that the temporary bailey bridge was to be built on piled abutments with embankments supported on piled ground improvements. The revised temporary bailey bridge design has been updated to include a 5-span bridge arrangement on temporary piers supported on tubular piles.
As per the original application, the temporary crossing will remain in place for around 12-15 months, whilst work progresses on the raising of the Main Construction Area (MCA) embankment, formation of the main approach embankments and installation of the haul road and permanent crossings.
