How to pay notification fees for international waste shipments

Use this information with the guidance on exporting and importing waste.

You can use one of the following options to pay your international waste shipments notification fee.

BACS or CHAPS payment

To pay by BACS or CHAPS, you will need to use your application reference and the following details:

  • company name: Environment Agency
  • remittance address: SSCL (Environment Agency), PO Box 797, Newport, Gwent, NP10 8FZ
  • bank: RBS / NatWest
  • bank address: London Corporate Service Centre, CPB Services, 2nd Floor, 280 Bishopsgate, London, EC2M 4RB
  • sort code: 60-70-80

Please also email details of your remittance to askshipments@environment-agency.gov.uk. If you do not do this, it could delay us processing your payment and therefore your application.

Credit or debit card

You can pay by credit or debit card.

Email askshipments@environment-agency.gov.uk and request a call back.

By post

You can send a cheque by post.

Make your cheque payable to ‘Environment Agency’. Write your company name and notification number on the back of your cheque.

We will not accept post-dated cheques.
