In 2020, the government made public its intention to develop a whole-of-government International Regulatory Cooperation (IRC) Strategy as part of our response to an Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) review of the UK’s IRC practices.

Alongside the publication of the IRC strategy, the government has developed an IRC toolkit to help officials, regulators and standards bodies better integrate IRC in policymaking to improve the UK’s regulatory environment.
