The Interministerial Group on UK-EU Relations met on 21 January 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Paymaster General and Minister for the Cabinet Office Nick Thomas-Symonds MP.

The attendees included:

  • from the Scottish Government, Cabinet Secretary for Constitution, External Affairs and Culture Angus Robertson MSP
  • from the Welsh Government, Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning Rebecca Evans MS/AS
  • from the Northern Ireland Executive, First Minister Michelle O’Neill MLA and deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly MLA

Ministers discussed:

  • the progress and priorities of UK-EU negotiations,
  • the progress of TCA implementation,
  • the devolved governments’ priorities on UK-EU issues.
