The First Order Draft (FOD) of the Special Report on Climate Change and Land: An IPCC Special Report on climate change, desertification, land degradation, sustainable land management, food security, and greenhouse gas fluxes in terrestrial ecosystems was available for expert review from 11 June 2018 to 5 August 2018. The report has now been revised by the authors in response to comments received and the Second Order Draft (SOD) is now available for simultaneous review by governments and experts.

All the experts who provided a review of the FOD will be notified separately about the Special Report on Climate Change and Land Government and Expert Review of the SOD, soliciting their participation again in the process, to review the progress made since the FOD. Governments and observer organizations are also asked to encourage additional experts to participate in the review.

The government and expert review of the SOD will end at 11:59pm (GMT+1) on 14 January 2019.
