Details of the application

Ingrebourne Valley Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to abstract water the Lynch Hill Gravels aquifer at Medina Farm from an area between National Grid References: TQ 57420 83992, TQ 57547 84034, TQ 57566 83677 and TQ 57440 83635 to transfer it to an inland lake at National Grid Reference TQ 57254 83552 without intervening use.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 36 cubic metres an hour
  • 864 cubic metres a day
  • 56,160 cubic metres a year

Further details are: The abstraction will take place all year round for 24 hours per day for the purpose of dewatering.
