As part of the Information Management Assessment (IMA) programme The National Archives conducted a reassessment of information management in the MoJ. The programme aims to raise standards and makes recommendations for improvements, building on our last report in June 2011.

The IMA report published looks at how well the department manages its information and mitigates related risks. The MoJ IMA Action Plan presents the department’s plans to maintain and improve information management.

The Permanent Secretary Richard Heaton welcomed the Report and the examples of current good practice noted, along with the recommendations for further development.
