As part of the Information Management Assessment (IMA) programme The National Archives conducted a review of information management in the NIO. The programme aims to raise standards and makes recommendations for improvements.
The IMA report published looks at how well the department manages its information and mitigates related risks. The NIO IMA Action Plan presents the department’s plans to maintain and improve information management.
The Permanent Secretary Sir Jonathan Stephens welcomed the Report and the examples of current good practice noted, along with the recommendations for further development.
