Quick Start

This dashboard provides an interactive overview of recommendations from the Infected Blood Inquiry’s May 2024 report, and Government responses across UK administrations and departments. Data is updated periodically to reflect the latest positions.

How to Use

Overview Section

  • Metric Cards: View total recommendations, sub-recommendations, and status breakdowns at a glance
  • Charts: Explore responsibility allocation across administrations and departments

Data Exploration

  • Recommendations Overview: Filter by government response type to see relevant recommendations
  • Responsibility Overview: Filter by specific government administration or department to see their responsibilities (individual or joint)
  • Recommendation Detail View: Select any specific recommendation to see full details including actions, updates, and responsible departments

Key Features

  • Data Export: Use download buttons to export filtered data as CSV files for further analysis
  • Interactive Filtering: Click dropdown menus to focus on specific data
  • Visual Indicators: Colour-coding shows different response types and responsibilities
  • Mobile Friendly: Dashboard adapts to different screen sizes

Data Categories

  • Fully Accepted: Recommendations accepted in full by relevant administrations or departments
  • Accepted in Principle: Recommendations accepted with some modifications
  • Mixed Positions: Different responses (i.e., accepted in full and in principle) across administrations
