The purpose of this independent report was to look at the role of the National Employment Savings Trust (Nest) in relation to the impact on both the market it serves and the wider workplace pensions market.

This report:

  • considers to what extent Nest has achieved/is delivering on its original objectives
  • considers if the organisation delivers value for money to members and the taxpayer
  • makes recommendations on how the organisation could further improve

The report covers the period since Nest opened in 2011, up to December 2021.
