Paper on recent hospital case fatality and variant of concern VOC2020-01. It was considered at SAGE 77 on 21 January 2021.

Following the submission of this document to SAGE, 2 minor errors were identified in the R code which affected the matching process. These have since been corrected and the revised table of results is below the original findings. The conclusion of the report remains the same, this has been highlighted for the sake of transparency and accuracy.

These documents are released as pre-print publications that have provided the government with rapid evidence during an emergency. These documents have not been peer-reviewed and there is no restriction on authors submitting and publishing this evidence in peer-reviewed journals.
