If you’re receiving a Bereavement Benefit or your spouse or civil partner has died, use form P161(W)(MAN) Bereavement Benefit coding to tell HM Revenue and Customs about any changes to your income because of your bereavement. This will help us to make sure you pay the right tax as soon as possible.
