Case study on individual Union Modernisation Fund (UMF) round two project. Unite the Union is engaged in a process of reform geared to becoming ‘an organising union’. Due to several general areas of weakness in management, upskilling officers was central to the union’s programme of change. This project was to design a system of continuing professional development (CPD) around a set of key Unite principles.
