This improvement notice requires Cornwall Council to take steps to improve its special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) services.
It follows an Ofsted and Care Quality Commission area SEND inspection report published on 27 May 2026, which found that Cornwall’s SEND arrangements continue to result in inconsistent experiences and outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
The report identified 4 areas for improvement.
