Imported bicycles from Sri Lanka produced by City Cycle Industries (Anti-Dumping Duty 2257)

Anti-dumping duty on imports of certain bicycles produced by City Cycle Industries and consigned from Sri Lanka (whether or not originating there) has been re-imposed.

Following the judgement of the General Court of the EU, the Commission re-opened the anti-circumvention investigation, limited in scope to the implementation of the judgement with regard to City Cycle Industries.

The Commission has announced in Implementing Regulation 2018/28 Official Journal reference L5 that it’s re-imposing the Anti-Dumping Duty on imports of certain bicycles, consigned from Sri Lanka, produced by City Cycle Industries.

This regulation takes effect from 11 January 2018.

The duty applies retrospectively from 12 April 2017.

Customs authorities are instructed to collect the Anti-Dumping Duty on imports of the product during the registration period.
