Details of the application

Imerys Minerals Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Fal and St. Austell Streams catchment.

The application is for a licence to transfer water as follows:

  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • between National Grid References SW 99819 58708, SX 00085 58802, SX 00194 58194 and SX 00070 58119
  • from abstraction location underground strata comprising granite at Wheal Prosper Pit, Trezaise, Roche, Cornwall.

The water will be used for dewatering.
