HS2 Phase One study into noise effects on livestock

An independent report exploring the potential effects on livestock near to the HS2 Phase One route.



In their second Special Report of Session 2015-16, the House of Commons Select Committee on the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Bill requested that HS2 Ltd undertake a study to understand how livestock might be affected by the operation of HS2 and whether better mitigation should be provided.

The promoter responded to this request in paragraphs 92-93 of ‘Promoter’s Response to the Select Committee’s Special Report of Session 2015-2016’ agreeing to undertake this investigation and to conclude such work ahead of Royal Assent to the Bill.
