This funding is provided quarterly in arrears. It is paid direct to councils in Scotland using the financial assistance power (sections 50/51) of the UK Internal Market Act.

One Scottish council was not included in the Quarter 3 funding allocations as a data return was not received in time to process.

The table of allocations shows 3 councils receiving nil tariff for the quarter. This is a result of having no new arrivals in their area during Quarter 3.

Where councils have a negative allocation, these councils have adjusted their claims to account for claims made in error in previous quarters.

The number of thank you payments may be less than the number of sponsoring households due to delays in authorities making thank you payments, or sponsors not accepting thank you payments.

In addition to the allocations set out above, the Scottish Government will also receive £1,912,200 in Thank You payments for arrivals under Scotland’s Super Sponsorship route for Quarter 3. Payments to Scottish Government are made at fiscal events, rather than quarterly. This amount will be paid from DLUHC to Scottish Government in early 2025.

The data in this publication will not match the weekly data published on the Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme. This is because the data is collected over a different period of time, and this data is returned directly by councils whereas the Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme data is management information from operational systems.
