MHCLG is providing £694.17 million to councils in England in the financial year 2025 to 2026 through the Homelessness Prevention Grant (HPG), to support them to deliver services to tackle and prevent homelessness.

In 2025/26, MHCLG awarded £633.2 million to HPG, with then a £10.9 million top-up in October and a further top-up of £50 million in December, bringing the total of HPG to £694.17 million.

This is an uplift of £253.8 million compared to 2024 to 2025.
