The plan assesses progress in the Home Office against 4 critical themes of organisational effectiveness:
- efficiency and innovation
- strategic risk and leadership of change
It sets out where the department is, where it needs to get to, and the actions that it will take to get there.
Plans are owned by departmental boards and tailored to meet departmental needs, but with core themes linked to operational/business plans. They are assessed annually.
