2.Since 2011 £5.1m has been made available to local authorities each financial year since 2011/12. This equates to a total of £20.4m.
3.Funding has been provided to 30 Prevent priority areas for a dedicated Prevent coordinator and projects.
4.We also provide funding for an additional 7 supported areas for Prevent initiatives. The Home Office currently also funds 11 projects in schools and colleges as well as 7 institutions’ officer posts, whose work includes engagement with schoold and colleges. The Home Office also provides funding for 10 Further and Higher education Prevent regional coordinators who work with colleges and Universities across England and Wales
