Department’s decision on application (including details of any waiting period or other conditions or restrictions applied): approval subject to the following conditions.

  1. that for a period of six months after leaving Crown Service, he should not work on any contracts with the Home Office nor use your Whitehall contacts to influence policy or secure business for your new employer
  2. that for a period of 2 years after leaving Crown Service, he should not engage in any lobbying of ministers, special advisers or government officials
  3. that he should not draw on privileged information available to him from his time in Crown Service
  4. that he must submit further applications should he wish to take up any additional appointments during this 2-year period, or if a conflict arises which would entail him working with officials or Ministers with whom he has had contact during your time in government
