Details

In 2018, we responded to a recommendation from the Public Accounts Committee by publishing our strategy and plans for improving engagement activity around reform of our courts and tribunals.

Our approach was based around five commitments which were to:

  1. Develop a greater understanding of perceptions and needs
  2. Audit, assess and track our engagement activities
  3. Improve consistency in the frequency and level of engagement that we undertake
  4. Increase visibility of opportunities for our stakeholders to engage with us
  5. Extend the reach of our engagement to more people

These commitments continue to form the basis of our stakeholder engagement approach and we’ve provided regular updates on our progress against them. Our progress updates in 2020 and in 2021 demonstrated the significant progress made against these commitments and how we maintain regular communication and engagement with professional court users and stakeholders.

This ensures we continue to deliver effective two-way engagement and communication, which is central to delivering reform as well as recovery from the impacts of coronavirus (COVID-19).
