Happy Days Farming Company Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Ancholme and the Kingerby Beck at Kingerby Hall Farm, Kingerby, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, LN8 3PU at National Grid References TF 02860 92572, TF 03171 92167, TF 03216 91533, TF 02844 92945 and TF 05861 93075.

The application is to abstract water at a combined quantity from all abstraction points as follows:

  • 75 cubic metres an hour
  • 825 cubic metres a day
  • 75,000 cubic metres a year
  • Between June and September inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for direct spray irrigation. Any licence issued will be subject to an appropriate cessation condition.
