Hanson Quarry Products Europe Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Thames Corridor catchment.

The application is for a licence to abstract (take) water from Thames first and second terrace deposits at Cassington Quarry between the National Grid References SP 45884 11079, SP 47652 11282, SP 48383 10666 and SP 45984 10448 to transfer it to Thames first and second terrace deposits at Stage 4 Lake NGR SP 47300 11048 without intervening use.

Abstraction will take place all year and water will be used for the purpose of dewatering
