Details of the application

Hadfields of (North Walsham) Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Broadland Rivers catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • 2.5 cubic metres a day
  • 682 cubic metres a year
  • between February to October inclusive
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) TG 29377 28373
  • from abstraction location Chalk and crag aquifers at Hadfield Nursery, North Walsham.

The water will be used for Trickle Irrigation – Direct.
