Details of the application

H Owen and Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Severn Corridor catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 1 litre per second
  • 3 cubic metres an hour
  • 27 cubic metres a day
  • 4,769 cubic metres a year
  • between 01 April and 30 September inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) SO 78126 63378
  • from abstraction location underground strata comprising sandstone at Chapel Farm, Little Witley, Worcestershire.

The water will be used for trickle irrigation – storage.
