H A Overton and Sons has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number 7/34/09/*S/0149A which authorises the abstraction of water from an un-named drain within Smallburgh Internal Drainage Board, Stalham, Norfolk at National Grid Reference (NGR) TG 3642 2418.

The variation applied for is to increase the annual authorised quantity from 27,272 cubic metres to 45,000 cubic metres between November and March inclusive. The water will be used to fill a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.The abstraction will be subject to a minimum level of water within the drain before abstraction can take place.
