Guards Polo Club Holdings Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Thames Corridor catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 50.3 litres per second
  • 181 cubic metres an hour
  • 4,344 cubic metres a day
  • 233,494 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 March and 30 September inclusive in each year.
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) SU 96970 69160
  • from abstraction location Virginia Water, Smith’s Lawn

The water will be used for Spray irrigation.
