Details of the application

Grundon Sand & Gravel Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Wey catchment.

The application is for a licence to transfer water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 60 litres per second
  • 216 cubic metres an hour
  • 4,593 cubic metres a day
  • 1,643,328 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid References (NGR) Area between SU 81075 38979, SU 81250 38762, SU 81529 38824, SU 81541 39026
  • from abstraction location Frith End Quarry.

The water will be used for Dewatering.
