These 2 reports assess the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Economic Community’s progress and set out how the UK can align with ASEAN’s post‑2025 agenda across 10 priority areas.

The ‘final report and impact evaluation’ reviews the progress the ASEAN Economic Community has made towards higher trade, investment, output and productivity. It also explains why a stronger focus on services, micro, small and medium‑sized enterprises, women’s economic participation and the green transition will be decisive. It proposes targeted actions to remove non‑tariff barriers, update agreements for the digital and green economies, widen access to finance and markets, and improve delivery.

The ‘opportunities’ report sets out how the United Kingdom can align with ASEAN’s post‑2025 agenda across ten priority areas, including common standards, modernised trade agreements, digital and financial integration, and sustainable finance. It identifies eight sectors with the strongest trade and investment potential, highlights cross‑cutting barriers, and sets out actions for the UK to embed a long‑term partnership and unlock export potential by 2030.
