Details

This code of practice has been laid before Parliament in draft pursuant to section 39(2) of the Energy Act 2011. It will lay for 40 days pursuant to section 39(3), (5) and (6) of that Act, during which period if neither House of Parliament resolve that it not be approved, it will be issued by the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy under regulation 10 of the Framework Regulations.

The code of practice sets out requirements for those persons acting as:

  • Green Deal providers
  • Green Deal assessors
  • Green Deal installers
  • Green Deal certification bodies

The document was approved and will substitute and revoke the Green Deal Code of Practice (Version 4) issued on 23 June 2014.
