Details of the application

Great Cheveney Farm Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Medway catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 28 litres per second
  • 100 cubic metres an hour
  • 2,400 cubic metres a day
  • 8,710 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 May and 30 September inclusive in each year.
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) TQ 72669 42432
  • from abstraction location Great Cheveney Farm.

The water will be used for Trickle irrigation - Direct.
