GSOP: annex 3

Updated 24 April 2024

Annex 3 lists countries requiring laboratory examination of representative samples for freedom from prohibited weed seeds or parasitic plants (not including Orobanche species, which are instead listed in annex 1 if testing is required) and fungal diseases.

Where a pest or disease is listed below as absent in UK, no test will be required as APHA have confirmed country freedom.

Identification of the relevant weed seeds, parasitic plants or fungal diseases listed below in a consignment would probably mean that a phytosanitary certificate could not be issued.

The information below is taken from third countries official websites and other sources. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that information on importing countries’ plant health regulations is accurate, they are not a definitive statement of law. Moreover, additional requirements may be specified by importing countries from time to time, for example by import permit. Details of those countries for which grain has been most commonly exported to and that require import permits for the entry of grain are given at annex 1.
