Lord Carlile of Berriew QC published his report ‘Third report of the Independent Reviewer pursuant to section 14(3) of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005’ on 18 February 2008 and included a number of recommendations. The government has considered the recommendations carefully and this paper sets out the government’s response.
