On 14 May 2026, the Office for Environmental Protection laid before Parliament its report, ‘A review of Environment Agency inspections in the waste operations and installations sector in England’, under section 29 of the Environment Act 2021.

This publication is the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs’ statutory response to that report.
