The House of Lords Select Committee on AI in Weapon Systems published ‘Proceed with Caution: Artificial Intelligence in Weapon Systems’ in December 2023. The report includes 36 conclusions and recommendations.
This publication sets out the government’s response to the conclusions and recommendations made in the report, and outlines work already underway to ensure the safe and responsible use of AI in the military domain.
For ease of reading, the conclusions and recommendations have been grouped thematically into four sections:
