The Gold Framework sets out how the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and UK Sport work jointly to support the bidding for and staging of major sporting events at a UK level.
The framework is aimed at major sporting events that are not resident in the UK and which typically involving a competitive bidding process.
The framework determines which events could be supported at a UK level, and the resources and investment that are available to help secure and stage these events.
This edition replaces the previous edition of the framework, which was published in 2018.
