Details

To get a copy of a domestic violence protection order/domestic abuse protection order , you should:

  • fill in the sample letter as best you can
  • send it to the court or police force that dealt with the order

You usually have to pay for a copy but you may be able to get help with the court fee.

You can use the order as evidence if you’re applying for legal aid to divorce or separate from an abusive partner.
