Geoffrey Robert Clifton-Brown has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Broadland Rivers catchment.

The application is to vary a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 16 litres per second
  • 58 cubic metres an hour
  • 1,152 cubic metres a day
  • 18,400 cubic metres a year
  • between April to September inclusive
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) TG 16137 39901
  • from abstraction location Chalk aquifer at East Beckham Produce, East Beckham

The water will be used for Trickle irrigation – Direct.
