Details

This general licence is related to prohibitions in Chapter 4LA of the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 on the maritime transportation of liquefied natural gas. It has been issued on 19 May 2026 and expires on 1 January 2027.

It authorises:

  • the maritime transportation of liquefied natural gas
  • ancillary services relating to the maritime transportation of liquefied natural gas

Subject to the conditions in the general licence.

There is also an exception until 1 January 2027, for obligations under contracts concluded before 17 June 2025, subject to conditions in the Regulations. Look up exceptions to the Russia trade and transport sanctions for more information.
