These rules are no longer current. Following a consultation in June 2015, we replaced them with new guidance for all reformed biology, chemistry and physics AS and A levels.

This guidance is intended to help awarding organisations understand how to comply with the GCE subject-level conditions and requirements for chemistry.

All awarding organisations have a legal obligation under section 153 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 to have regard to this guidance.
