This report assesses the current adult gambling treatment system in England, looking at:
- how it functions
- where its strengths are
- what can be improved
We carried out this assessment by:
- reviewing gambling treatment and helpline data
- analysing responses to a questionnaire of treatment providers
- interviewing gambling treatment stakeholders
- conducting ‘deep dives’ with 5 local authorities
Stakeholders can use this report to better understand the current adult gambling treatment system in England and the views of people working in it. This work was completed in 2022 and there have been changes implemented in the gambling treatment system since this date.
