An application has been made to the Environment Agency by G H Hoyles Limited. The Environment Agency are required to give notice of this application.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Nene at Poplar Tree Farm, Newton, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire at National Grid Reference (NGR) TF 45871 14778.

The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates and periods:

  • 36 cubic metres an hour
  • 864 cubic metres a day
  • 79,125 cubic metres a year

Between November and March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used to fill a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
